Comparing, that is what humans do, then why does it harm so?
Comparing weight, if you are okay,
Comparing eyes, are yours too dull?
Hair not long enough as each beauty queen
Lips not big enough as hers,
Does that make you less?
Legs never long enough or short enough
As those women with heads held high like royalty
Fingers not skinny enough even though you fit
A size five.
Hips not round enough,
Not like a Latina beauty.
Nor a butt that could make
You feel like you fit in.
But does that matter?
Your eyes gleam with your own spirit
Hair grows, give it time.
Your lips were made perfectly for your own face
Nothing about you is less.
You're perfect the way you are,
Your height doesn't define you.
You can be that way too, just stop looking at the floor.
Your body is shaped for you,
Just own yourself,
Rock yourself to the beat of life.
Perfection is everyone.
